Lindars Radios is an independent specialist in amateur and ham radio equipment, based in Yeovil, Somerset. We buy and sell a wide range of radio equipment, from modern transceivers and accessories to vintage and hard-to-find pieces with real character and history.

We are passionate about radio in all its forms and aim to offer equipment that is interesting, useful and well-suited to both experienced radio amateurs and those newer to the hobby.

Where it all began

From Passion to Profession

My interest in radio started at an early age. As a child, I spent countless hours watching my dad in his workshop, repairing and testing radios. I still remember the smell of the soldering iron, the sound of loose screws on the bench, and the quiet satisfaction of equipment being brought back to life.

My dad regularly wrote articles for radio magazines and even built my first receiver. From that moment on, I was hooked on all things ham radio related — a passion that has stayed with me ever since.

That early fascination naturally grew into a lifelong interest in amateur radio, eventually leading me to start Lindars Radios. What began as a personal passion has become a business dedicated to sourcing, buying and selling amateur radio equipment for others to enjoy.

I particularly enjoy finding unusual, rare or vintage items, pieces that tell a story and deserve to be appreciated rather than forgotten.
